Location – Lake Atitlán, Guatemala

Lake Atitlán is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.

Surrounded by volcanoes and deeply rooted in Mayan culture, it is a place that naturally invites stillness, reflection, and connection.

The Conscious Communities of Tzununá and San Marcos La Laguna

The Seed Habitat is situated in Tzununá, a Kaqchiquel village on the northern shores of Lake Atitlán, known for its blend of indigenous traditions and alternative lifestyles. Tzununá is home to Gaia Temple, a space hosting ecstatic dances, kirtans, and ceremonial gatherings, and the Fungi Academy, a world-renowned hub for mycology education and earth-based wisdom.

In addition, Granja Tzikin and Atitlán Organics offer hands-on permaculture education, teaching regenerative agriculture practices that reflect the community's commitment to sustainable living. With its combination of yoga, wellness spaces, and local farm-to-table initiatives, Tzununá is a vibrant community for conscious living.

Just next door, San Marcos La Laguna offers a spiritual haven for those seeking deeper transformation. Known for its yoga classes, sound healing, and cacao ceremonies, the village is a favorite among healers, artists, and wellness seekers. It's also home to Eagle's Nest, a stunning retreat venue featuring a popular ecstatic dance scene that attracts visitors from all over the world. San Marcos blends alternative therapies with a strong sense of community, making it a hub for personal growth and wellness practices.
