The Seed

From Guatemala City: there are many options to arrive to the lake. You can take a shared shuttle that leaves 3 times per day (6am, 11am & 2:30pm) and costs about $25 USD. This shuttle stops in Antigua before continuing onto Panajachel. Companies like Xocomil Tours or Atitrans make these routes daily, you can find them online and book directly with them.

For a direct shuttle from the airport, there is one that leaves at 2:30pm everyday and costs $35 USD per person (Minimum of 3 people for this service).

For a private taxi or UBER, you can expect to pay about $125 but is quicker than the previous two options. This can be arranged upon arrival at the airport or by using the UBER app.

To arrive from Guatemala City to the lake in just 20 minutes (And in style!) helicopters are available for about $1,000- 1,400 USD.

From Panajachel to Tzununa, make your way to the dock where boats head to San Pedro in Panajachel’s lake shore. A small boat, or "lancha", leaves every 25 minutes until 7:30pm. You can ask the driver to drop you off at the public dock in Tzununa. You will be charged GTQ35 to GTQ50 per person.

From San Marcos, you can take a “Tuktuk” and tell them you would like to go to Tzununa and “Casa Grande”. We are located across from “Doron Yoga” this will cost GTQ20-25 it is about 15 or 20 minutes on a very bumpy road. By Lancha you will go to the main dock, catch a boat going towards Panajachel and get off at the Tzununa dock. Once at the dock you can catch a Tuc Tuc costing around GTQ10, we suggest having small bills.

Once you arrive at the Tzununá dock, you’ll be greeted by a group of young tuk-tuk drivers enthusiastically repeating “taxi?”, “taxi?”. Tell one of them that you’re headed to “Casa Blanca”. They’ll help you load your bags in a tuk-tuk and take you right to our doorstep. This short ride is GTQ10 per person (less than $2).

If for some reason they do not know “Casa Blanca” or “Doron Yoga”, you can ask them to take a right after the Centro de Salud, once you have crossed over the bridge we are the first road to your left, The Seed is 300 meters down that road on your right.

You can also choose to walk. When getting off the main dock in Tzununa, you will need to walk up the road, go past the football field with the clinic on your right and take the first road to your right. Follow the road over the bridge until you come to a left turn. Take the left and follow the road. If you look up you should see The Seed nestled amongst the greenery. Continue on until you come to our sign on your right.
